On-site bacteria detection in water

  • Easy to use -> All the fully automated hardware and software has been designed to be user-friendly.
  • Precision you can trust -> The analysis method is based on qPCR, which guarantees the accuracy and specificity. In addition, we have also integrated optional live/dead discrimination function to avoid false positive results.
  • Affordable Excellence -> No more costly testing methods. We are continuously spending efforts to further cut down the cost per test.

Most frequently asked questions and answers:

What are the preparation steps the end users need to do and how does your device work in principal?

The end user only need to load the water sample (100ml to 1L) and detection chip. The device itself will concentrate the bacteria in the sample and analyse the quantity by qPCR. The quantitative result will be delivered in 1 hour.

What is the limit of detection of your device?

Limit of detection depends on the sample matrix and the detection targets. So far we have validated the limit of detection of legionella spp. or legionella Legionella pneumophila in tap water, which the LoD is <1,000 CFU/L, and E.coli can reach the LoD < 100 CFU/L.

Does your device meet the ISO regulations?

Yes, the device is designed following the ISO/TS 12869:2019, and also especially ISO/TS 12869-2:2024: Water quality- Detection and quantification of Legionella spp. and/or Legionella pneumophila by concentration and genic amplification by quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) Part 2: On-site methods.

Can the device be customised for other specific applications?

Yes. It can be adapted for other applications such as bacteria or virus detection in swimming and bathing water water, or wastewater, as well as food and beverage industry, pharmaceutical industry, and so on.
